Take complete control of Zwift with our Bluetooth handlebar remotes. From menus and workout controls to route selection and Ride Ons–it's all at your command. Plus, you can even drop PowerUps straight from your bars.

Virtual Shifting

Virtual shifting works when paired with Zwift Hub and Wahoo KICKR Smart Trainers by adjusting the trainer resistance to emulate shifting gears, triggered by your Zwift Play controllers.

Great addition
Love them for racing (boosts, corners) and training/free riding with corners, rideons and boasts at my fingertips, and really add to virtual shifting too. Braking I could live without though (never use it!)

Nice to have
Nice to ave but limited usage for me, I race a lot and they are often deactivated. For regular rides I can play with them but it was not in real need.

Cool gadget, very useful for virtual shifting
It's really useful for virtual shifting and navigating the game.
However the steering feature is a hit and miss. It's not that 'smooth' and accurate - but I assume it's mainly because it tries to 'simulate' the other people in the way ie. you cannot steer through someone - however, in the practice course where you gather powerups and speed down a mountain, there it was also a big challenge to steer the bike accurately, very easy to over / undershoot.
I mainly use it for the virtual shifting, where it really shines since you have a gear on each drop bar (I know it's different than regular gears, but works very well for the 'gamified' gears, it's like shifting in formulas , if F1 cars had cycle's handlebars :P)
So -1* for the steering accuracy, as it's kind of one of the main ideas.

Fast perfekte Ergänzung zum Smart-Trainer
Habe die Controller hauptsächlich gekauft, um die Übersetzung meiner alten 10-fach Ultegra zu optimieren. Statt neuer Gruppe für mindesten 500,- nur 99,- investiert, weniger Verschleiß und deutlicher leiser, als die Kettenschaltung zu nutzen. Die Schalt-Taster find ich etwas zu klein und das haptische Feedback könnte besser sein. Die "Lenktaster" sind deutlich besser. Freie Tastenbelegung wäre daher eine tolle Ergänzung
